1. OUT OF CHARACTER DRAMA! If you have a problem please come talk to us about it. We're here to help, however if it is completely out of line one or both players may be asked to leave. This is an extreme case only of course. If it is just a small problem, please try to work it out amongst yourselves, don't pull anyone else into it, and please remember not to bring it in character!
2. IN CHARACTER DRAMA! Yes, there is going to be in character drama. Try to keep it realistic and don't go overboard. If your character has a problem with another that does not mean that the player feels the same way about you! So please remember to separate the two.
3. GOD MODDING! Basically, don't try controlling someone else's character. It goes in threading, logging, journals, phone calls, e-mails, anything. Please ask all players for permission if you want to say something about another character. We are a three strikes and you are out sort of game. If you God-Mod once, we'll warn you and expect you to fix it. If you do it a second time you wont be allowed to pick up another character for at least a month. If you do it a third time, we will ask you to leave. We aren't trying to be mean, we just want everyone to feel comfortable, and it isn't comfortable when people tell you what your character did or would do.
4. GRAMMAR AND SPELLING: This is important, however no one is perfect. However you need to be able to write, this means basic grammar, basic writing skills. If you can't write without the proper spacing, overall proper grammar and spelling, this isn't the place for you. If we find that the application is a lot different from the writing we get in the game, we'll give you a warning or ask you to leave.
5. BACK STORY! When creating back story please talk to those that the back story would affect. This goes for the history of families, siblings, enemies, exes and friends.
6. PLAYED BYS! We don't like to be picky, but sometimes it happens. No one that can't be Googled. No Suicide Girls, MySpace kids or Scene kids.
7. AGE LIMIT!Seventeen and over.
8. ACTIVITY! Obviously this is a big rule. How can a game survive with no activity? To determine activity, we'll watch everyone, but try to participate in at least one thread once every two week, and reply to that one whenever you get the chance! Also, one journal, thread, phonecall, e-maill, aim conversation once every two weeks is all we ask for! Also, when we do activity checks and call for replies, please do so!
9. PLOT! If you have a big plot idea, talk to us about it! Just keep in mind this is more of a character building game. Don't be shy about looking for plots. If you feel like you need help with this feel free to ask, but the mods aren't in charge of finding plot for everyone!
11. WHINING! If you're having trouble finding plot, please, be social and IM the players, don't whine about it if you aren't willing to do something about it.
12. CHARACTER LIMIT! Don't take on more than you can handle. You can apply for 2 up front, but you have to wait 2 weeks before applying for another.
13. JOURNALS! Journals are online blog type journals, set up on the campus system. Icons don't exist on the university system so, while we encourage using them, characters cannot see them. PRIVATIZING IN JOURNALS: This is possible at any point. You can split up an entry by simply putting: [Private to Casper]. You can private to groups of people.
14. THREADING, E-MAIL'S, PHONE CALLS, AIM CONVERSATIONS Keep to standard forms: WHO:Who is participating in this thread/log. WHAT:What is happening in the thread/log. WHERE:Where it takes place. WHEN:What day, time of the day. WHY:Why are you doing it? RATING:This is where warnings go! G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17 & why! STATUSie: Complete or Incomplete, closed or open.
For E-mail: TO: FROM: SUBJECT:
Phone Call: WHO: WHEN: REASON FOR CALL:
Instant message/Text conversation:
WHO: WHEN: AIM OR TEXT:
15. CHARACTER JOURNAL NAMES! Please make sure they aren't over the top, crazy, or completely unrelated to anything. We suggest using your characters name (specially for human characters) or something related to the Gods and their powers.
16. ICONS! As stated before. Icons cannot be seen. The Greek system doesn't support icons. The reason for this is to make it easy and not too confusing.
16. KEEP IT BELIEVABLE! This is pretty simple. This is set in real time, the year is 2009.
17. CREDITING ICONS Now, we know it isn't exactly the most fun thing in the world, but it's important. People spend a lot of time working on icons and it's just polite to credit. If you for some reason have no idea where an icon is from, say that.. that's okay. We will give you a warning if we see your icons are without credit. If you still don't credit them, you'll be asked to leave.
